Prop Trader Guard is an app that watches a prop-firm trading account against its rules. This page says what it stores, why, and how to have it removed.
What is collected
- Your sign-in. With Sign in with Apple, the identifier Apple gives us and, if you share it, your email address. With email sign-in, your email address and a hashed password.
- Your trading account. The MT5 login number and broker server name, the rule set and starting balance you choose, and the limits and preferences you set in the app.
- What the bridge reports. Account balance, equity, open positions and closed deals from your own MetaTrader 5 or cTrader terminal, or from a history report you upload. The bridge is read only and never places, changes or closes a trade.
- The setup page. When you open the setup page from a link the app sent, the page asks the server whether your pairing code has been used yet. Nothing else about you is read or stored by the page.
- What you write. Trade reasons, moods, notes, the daily bias and your reminder message.
What it is used for
Only to show you your own figures and alerts. Nothing is sold, shared with other traders, or used for advertising. The app contains no analytics or tracking frameworks.
Third parties
- Apple, for Sign in with Apple.
- Fly.io, which hosts the server and the database in London.
- Forex Factory, whose public economic calendar feed the server reads. No data about you is sent to it.
Where it is kept
On one server hosted by Fly.io, with daily backups kept for five days. Traffic between the app, the bridge and the server is encrypted. Session tokens and bridge tokens are stored only as hashes.
Deleting your data
Email support@proptraderguard.app from the address you signed in with and everything held about you and your accounts is deleted within seven days. Removing an account in the app deletes its history straight away.
